Is this meant to be a defence of their employment practices, as they are 'generating wealth'? Sorry if I have misread this.
I read it as more "it's not just the owner to blame here".
No, was pointing out that the billionaire owner of the company only owns 9% of it and the other shareholders should bare some of the responsibility for the conduct of the business.
