The latest in a long line of pre-cursa mudguard bodges:
The material between the two holes I'd 'drilled' in the guard for the seatstay bridge cable-tie had snapped, so I've glued another cable tie there to reinforce the guard for the bridge cable-tie.
Epic dredge, but reading back on this thread so thought I'd share this tutorial on plastic welding. I've used it a number of times from motorbike fairings to fridge bottle shelves. Generally I use heavy duty staples trimmed to size but also copper wire.

ello, fairly new here but this is fast becoming my favourite thread on the site. for your enjoyment, here's my solution to carrying a bottle on a bike with a front basket and no bottle cage mounts. it's cut to precision as it was quicker to use my uni's laser cutter than find a saw and hand drill
