Space isn't just rockets, also satellites etc.
It's just bizarre, May didn't want the access, they say UK development is too expensive, then buy a USA firm while Brexit is all "make the UK great again" ok so this buy local was bull as I "projected feared" 🙄
I'm going to watch that now as I've not seen that one yet :)

"Brexit is set to have cost the UK more than ÂŁ200 billion in lost economic growth by the end of this year".
The UK only paid ÂŁ215 billion into the EU budget since 1973.
Good work people.

I wondered about exactly those kind of people all along, and when they'd start to feel some consequences of something that's not what they envisioned but has become out of their control.
I'm really pleased to have read about the experiences of one of them.

I'm sure they're the exception.

Someone I saw on twitter has pointed out it's not necessarily credible; although I believed it initially, the neverending stream of 'updates' do stretch believability a bit

Pure leftwing propaganda

No good old Brits are that stupid

Yeah I’m not sure it’s authentic, I’d like it to be, but it smells like BS.

It's a joke, but it's a good joke.

UK leaving the EU shouldn’t have too much of an impact on UK citizens who have holiday homes in the EU as things stand.Property taxes might increase a few % but that’s probably it.

Retiring to France or Spain, on the other hand, is going to be a significant issue.

No more ehic or cheap health cover agreement for pensioners (where this applied) and max 90 days abroad in all of mainland EU.
But, blue passports.

The 90 day thing might (marginal, but definitely possible) be a problem for me, based on the amount of time I spend on the continent for work, plus holiday. Anyone know whether you can apply for extra days?

It's 90 days per visit, rather than per year. The 90 days reset when you leave.
Edit
Although I think you can only stay for up to half a year max. Half a year + 1 day was the definition of residency for tax purposes in my case, so I needed to fill out some special forms.
Will be interesting to see what those forms end up being in the new year.

It's like the 2015:dress all over again...

In which case I'll be absolutely fine, cheers.

You'll be fine. I, on the other hand, have to persuade Cycliste to marry me if I want to spend more than 90 days at a time in Switzerland. Haven't managed to in 25 years. Can't see the odds improving.

The new passport, as was quickly noted by opponents to Brexit, was designed by the Franco/Dutch company Gemalto and made in Poland.

I stand corrected. Franco-Polish black passports it is. Hehehehe.

I knew about the Franco/Dutch bit, but I hadn't realised they were being manufactured in Poland. It just gets better.

NI harbour checks need a 600 by 600 meter area just to park the lorries. And realistically we don't get THAT much stuff compared to English harbours and not everything has to be checked, only items going in from GB (in addition to already non EU items)
Dover harbour will be... fun?
The only thing that makes sense is that the 500M is for the frequency range that OneWeb has the rights to, but frankly it looks insane.
