It's 90 days per visit, rather than per year. The 90 days reset when you leave.

Although I think you can only stay for up to half a year max. Half a year + 1 day was the definition of residency for tax purposes in my case, so I needed to fill out some special forms.
Will be interesting to see what those forms end up being in the new year.
In which case I'll be absolutely fine, cheers.
