I'm with @aggi on this, I bought one of these for my son for his evening job in a Thai restaurant. I had a suspicion he'd probably lose it, he has previous for all sorts of things. It wasn't expensive and so I got the handle engraved as part of the deal. More unusual than a SAK or an Opinel and useful to boot.

I bought this: https://www.amazon.fr/Laguiole-Evolution-444050-Couteau-Inoxydable/dp/B019Q9SMDC not from Amazon and the knife is pretty pointless for cutting cheese or salami as the slit in the knife means that the knife doesn't cut cleanly.

I'm getting married next year and I was thinking a nice gift for groomsmen would be a nice simple gentleman's knife with their initials on...
I don't want to break the bank on anything too wildly expensive (the Böker Wasabi would be absolutely perfect otherwise) and I was thinking a higonokami would be a nice choice.
Has anyone any other nice recommendations or any opinions as to whether the steel or brass handled versions would be the nicer choice?
