I have a tweaked version
Intriguing. I was thinking up and down each of the Wimbledon alps would help - you can cut across some of them to only do the steepest part. Sure there is a bit more to be had round there, and then miss out some of the other shallower climbs earlier / later.
Do we know what the record is for the 20 mile elevation challenge? I imagine a variation on the Leith Hill Octopus is probably as close as you could manage with a chunky ride out from Kingston.

Pretty much exactly that - down and up the steepest parts only. It's the gradient that counts in this challenge, plus proximity of the next lump.
No idea what the record is, but I'd be looking for a few long steep climbs on the same hill, switching roads at the summit rather than the base, assuming they're closer together at the top. I've plotted a quick Leith Hill route that does that to an extent:

Remember it only counts as Hills if it finishes with a photo atop Canonbie.

Can't argue with that!

Ah - now you've got me procrastinating on hills rides i'll likely never do.
I've just plugged this together - gets you over the magic 3,000ft.

Not bad - can't see myself doing either either!

I could suggest it as a brutal TNRC once lockdown is over.

Pure unadulterated boomer humour is what we need in these difficult times
(Not calling you a boomer btw)

White Bear with James last night. Didn't actually stop at WB though

Looks like you are considering taking up golf.

That course looks hilly enough to count.

Hey! I follow that account too. And I'm definitely in a different age category to Andy!

Whatever, boomer.

Not sure if Beddlestead, Chalkpit and Bug counts as Hills or WB. Waitrose beers at the top of the Downs is not quite the sane as the IH.

Ha, I had the same idea go that way, but turned around somewhere round Beckenham and had that rainbow behind me for the next hour as I headed north west away from it.

Didn't fancy Succombs then?

Yeah it's grim!
I've only done it once 😂

Getting ready for Autumn hills season - I think the cycle lane uphill on Dulwich Wood Park is now complete which creates a few new options for loops.
There are also some better climbs out of Norwoord than the main road Night's Hill bash which could be interesting to explore.

So, any appetite for restarting Tuesday night hills in a couple of weeks?
Groups of up to 6 (distanced) are allowed - should be manageable.

I think if BC/Cycling UK guidance moves to 1m distancing than this could open up again. I think it's definitely the time of year for WB/OW* rather than urban hills though.

Some of us never stopped doing Tuesday night hills
Nicely done!
I have a tweaked version I need to try sometime. Maybe next Tuesday night?
