  • Stuck the SQR and rack I made on my commuter which has an in-line post and popped up to my folks to collect a parcel and some clamps my dad was getting rid of.

    Little bit of bum contact, mostly track standing at lights. Would be worse on a set back post. No thigh contact.

    Dropped a couple of those big bus stop kerbs and then dropped the rear rend from a couple feet back at the garage. I think the kerb drops bent it slightly and then the big drops at the garage did some real damage but not where I expected. The single bar where the top straps attach is fine.

    This tubing measures about 7mm od x 0.6mm wall thickness. Thinking about ordering some 8mm x 1mm and trying again.

    Bag and load weighed in at 3kg.

  • Have you tried with the block as low as possible on the seat post (as long as the rest does not foul the tyre obviously)?
