Typo, I meant Slithers. The alien parasite in it is pretty much the Slithers one there is also a scene that directly reference Shivers.
I love Shivers, the Fly and Videodrome. A history of violence is really good, and his later work is also quality, just speaks less to me.

It's a Cronenberg classic, there are some laughs to be had but his intentions were dead serious... I love his 70s and 80s stuff...
