Not sure why he think we’re deprived of two bricks.

Worse.

Time to start thinking about prepping/stockpiling isn't it?

• #26831
But we can live off Tim Tams.

Not if we run out of bricks, our balls will explode.

• #26833
There was a recent twitter thread by a senior customs person that in summary was- yes, start prepping.

Not another toilet roll shortage.

Surely everyone has shitloads of pasta, flour and bog roll now.

Is it possible that there is going to a pretend no-deal cos the Brexiters are mostly so uninterested in details the government can just bamboozle them in October?
As the ink on what Boris already agreed on is dry...
[It will shit be a shitstorm either way, open borders = WTO hassle, locking them down is huge queues and I really don't see them set up all the infrastructure in, oh, less than 3-5 years]

I've been thinking same. But no, these cunts really will drive the bus over the cliff
How else is Crispin Odey gonna make his money?

Well maybe just causing a panic is enough? Speculation, speculation, cheap asset buying, big gains...then pull out the last minute.
Unlike Boris.

Given Boris thought the best use of his time amidst Brexit, economy going to shit and Covid-19 was to give a big speech about boomerangs and TimTams I think it's entirely possible that they will ignore Brexit until it's too late.

Gove is already gaslighting the Brexit lot (we will not do xyz even though we signed up for it)
I expect Boris to have stopped paying attention some time ago, but Gove/Cummings may have more devious plans. I don't they are ignoring it.
Gove actively went back on many promises, like high farming / food standards. Even though he said leaving the EU would be good for farmers and let him offer payment for small farms with more nature, this is playing into the hand of low cost bigger outside the UK farms.
I think...if I understood it right. Gove is a devious snake if you ask me. (sorry snakes, you serve a purpose)

Oh dear.
Difficult to prepare if the only thing you can do it "go bust" (small businesses) or "pack up" (larger ones) or "deal with it, we all suffer (transport companies)
Brexiters are less likely to prepare as they don't see any downsides. They will be in for a shock and no awe then...

Bleak

My partner: How are you supposed to prepare, hide in a bunker? Dig a hole?
So many opportunities for snarky memes, but this is indeed grim.

My (albeit very limited) understanding of the ‘shock and awe’ (strategy? tactic? armed forces PR) was to cower the ‘enemy’ with an all out assault. Are we (they, business, everything) now the enemy? So whose side am / will I supposed to be on? Fucks sake.

The government is expecting civil unrest following the end of transition- work it out from there.

• #26846
No surprise there, government scaled back on making their own GPS.

4 years since the Brexit vote...can't say I feel remotely optimistic...

I think this is just the start;

It's a USA company too...
AFAIK the UK has always had a small but good space industry. Why buy this lot?

You might just have watched A Grand Day Out a few too many times.
That's like comparing a great head job with smashing your cock between two bricks.
