It isn’t light, it hasn’t got gears, it doesn’t respond to accelerations, it just takes its time and makes you take yours. It just keeps going.
Spot on!

Surprised to see they only sold around 200 per year.

Late 2020, probably get one.

I emailed them last week and was told they have ‘no plans’ to release a single speed this year

Here's mine from a recent ride. I had the paint re-done by a local shop in some kind of green-grey with rainbow sparkles in the clearcoat.

Question for all you Pompino owners.
Ref: On-One Il Pompino Frame
Are the forks specific to the frame or can any suitable replacement be used?

• #8112
Suitable replacements can be used

super nice!
is this a cross check fork?
I recently returned to the stock fork after 2 years with other forks, kind of like it again. Thinking about repainting mine too, I have this ugly v4 blue -

Yup it's a crosscheck fork.
I had the bottom of the headtube milled down by a couple of mm to counter the fact that the crosscheck fork is 5mm longer than the stock pompino fork. It didn't make any significant difference but in my mind I knew I'd had the work done and that was a nice thing.
Glad you like it! Other mods/ spec:
-Forks drilled for bottle cage mounts.
-Underside of downtube drilled for bottle cage mounts.
-Bottle cage mounts inside main triangle moved down towards BB to give better clearance for partial frame bags.
-Rear canti hanger removed (I'm running TRP CX9 mini v brakes).
-Front dynohub with Edelux light for easy winter commuting.
-Currently setup singlespeed with flat pedals and 36x16 gearing for chilled summer picnic rides.
-Full framebag by WeeCog. -

I'll see what I can do when I'm next out and about on a sunny day. Might be able to enlist the help of @Eamesy as a nearby pal with a good camera.

Love this bike.
Past few months its been more of a fun evening off-road hack rather than a commuter mule.Needs phat tyres though, whats the biggest people have got on these, without hanging the wheel at the back of the dropout?

Slick 42mm tyres fit pretty well.
Edit: mines a v4 so not sure yours will have quite as much

Have been reunited with my pomp after a few years with another rider. Awaiting drops / hoods in the post so I can (hopefully) race it FGCX when the season starts. Don't really like the flat bars but will do until the new cockpit arrives. Will be good for the woods and the beach in the meantime

Good stuff. Just a set of tubeless gravel kings away from perfection!
