I asked my brother in Amsterdam he said face mask policing is relaxed but nearly everyone wears them anyway.
The Netherlands is a little more collectivist and the government better at handling Covid information / the reopening I guess that plays a role?
Most people are wearing masks here too. There was a bit of trouble last weekend with a few big parties in the city parks that got into it with the police and each other but for the most part people here view the masks as "doing their bit" whether they believe they're functional or not.
We're also getting 100% testing for citizens and cross-border workers in the next month or so.
