Old age ; parents in pain and distress, having to deal with a disjointed care system, cleaning up my mum , it is all fucking shit.

Apologies if that is a bit heavy for the thread, needed a vent.

And then some.

We went through it for 4 years with the mother-in-law.

We will likely go through it with my mother too.

I / we / they are all privileged to have a good source of funds, but even then it's hard. I can't imagine ho difficult it is without.
