    The two fixie bikes which have QR rear hubs also have suicide hubs and rear brakes, which is relevant.
    All my conversions go the opposite way to what you're doing, from QR to bolts. QR is fine for racing when you have a following car with spare wheels, for all other purposes the tiny amount of time needed to use a tool to loosen the wheel is irrelevant.

  • Thanks for the feedback. Probably the best and cheapest solution to my case is to source an 6mm allen key and keeping it with the spare tube in the saddle bag haha.

    Out of curiosity, why chosing to switch from QR to bolt? Is it because you can't tighten enough with QR, or purely for aero or weight reasons?

    For the aeros. I'm using 6mm bolts, so the clamping is pretty much the same as a good QR, and I use chain tugs to hold tension.
