I've been at the receiving end of the "the item is actually out of stock/sold to someone else, sorry," hence why I think it's possible to cancel the sale. Uncool move nonetheless, as you point out.
As to your point, and as I kind of realise tonight, I can actually hold on to this for a while until better times should I choose profit over a sale. Which I'm not sure how I feel. I guess I was also curious to know whether you'd also think this has actually quite a bit more value than that it sold for (in terms of measuring what's worth being a bit of a bellend to someone else on ebay). If that makes sense?
