Yeah I thought they might be.
To be honest I should just get around to reaming the seattube on my frame properly and then taking the post in and out won’t be such a pita. Well, I also picture myself using the bag on a couple different bikes the quicker the job the better.
Don’t take yours off just to check, it’s not that critical.

You have to remove the seat post - source: I have two and just removed one from a bike on Sunday.
I have that one going spare if you want to PM me. Barely used.

I use the bagman Expedition QR with my nelson long flap. Just need to make sure you have enough space on the rails behind your seat post to fit it.

Definitely loops, not strips

Yeah, how much you looking for? And you know I’m not in London so cant pick it up?

You may want to use the enhance function on that SJS picture... As a said, not ideal, but they are not loops.

Is that having to manually break the seam on them or are they just bent into position? I have three of the blocks on various bikes and I'm sure I had to take the seatpost out for them

They are just bent metal, I just opened it up, if that makes sense.

Bag arrived today.
It’s one of Margareta’s.
Looks alright on the bike by itself, Aroogah is sending me an SQR block and I’m going to try making my own frame to go in it.
Can’t believe how much fits in it! So much more useful a shape than any other saddlebag/seat pack I’ve had.

Just picked up this thing! Its a Margareta... Actually pretty into these more modern styles and obnoxious colour. Although I cannot be sold on their new "bikebacking" range....

Just put 5 vintage saddle bags for sale on the forum 4 Carradice and 1 Karrimor

I’ve got a Carradice Super c, tour model I think with a 27.2 SQR block. Any ideas on a fair price? No Nics or cuts. Still has the pop-in envelope thing.

Interesting - had never heard of them, and a quick Google didn't bring anything up. Were they an indie outdoor gear maker?
-
• #1417
From my own googling I believe it was a brand founded by Ron Kitching.

Excellent, there's a wide load flag on the ends of those stalks?
-
• #1422
It's a bit of an NDS fail really, having the stalks on the other side would've better discouraged close passing.

Wales?
The silver metal loops on the SQR block are actually strips. I'm pretty sure you can fit it without moving the seatpost, although not ideal.
I can check later on if it's critical.
