I'd still be going around, it was defo built for comfort over speed.
I still miss it. That first summer was great weather and every weekend we regretted selling it, especially once we realised baby would've been fine in it too if I slept on the leaky side.
I think I'd go for similar again over anything vw, although prices for all were on the up even without the dub premium last time I looked, but I haven't checked since covid so there may be a few going cheaper now.
I bet you'd have got decent value for money - time on the track rather than distance travelled.
Your camper looked good. A mate of mine had a brother who kitesurfed 20 years a go or so, and he got his old Leyland Daf 3.5t camper when we were about 18 or so. Loads of fun
