Not according to this link even though it says it was updated on 23rd June. Unsure what it was before but in any chase a lot of Germans managed to get there.
I think you're right about it being illegal but getting caught and fined is another thing. It's illegal in a lot of places but races still happen. I think there's a good enough understanding in the bikepacking community that you leave no trace and you don't be a dick.

But aren't Swiss borders currently closed to foreign residents. Also, isn't wild camping illegal in Switzerland?
