Arrospok should be being sorted (ahem @cake cough cough).
Crankset is on the way
White capped hex key skewers are on the way.
Suitably dazzled bottle cage is on the way.
Pedals will be a pair of Speedplay Frogs stolen off another bike (I need to come to terms with the fact that these are no longer being made. But I'm ignoring that with the use of a pedal spanner, for now.)
Tyres, I have a new set of Rubino Pros to go on, but am considering some Vredestein Fiammante in black / white.
Need a bottom bracket but have to measure the chainline on the Arrospok first.
Also need to work out gearing, which will be based around the chain ring coming with the crankset. Currently assuming 46/18 probably in 3/ 32.
Then a chain and we are rolling.

Need to be cut down to about 15cm and fitted with white Ourys for the authentic 2008 fixie skidder look.

I know it doesnt have a rear wheel or any kind of chainset on it, but fucking hell it is light. I am very much looking forward to riding it.

Yep, I'll ride it before I decide, but I am pretty sure I'll be taking some width off the bars.
If only so that it fits in the shed better.

Will there be a saddle dangler? LadyLiz has been rocking one since like 2007.
-
• #112
I used to have a sprocket dangler with my forum name and number on. Can't recall who made them, but there was a laser involved. Cool as fuck.
What does LadyLiz have dangling from her behind?

I was going to make a crass joke there but she’d punch me in the cock if I did.
She’s got one of those Japanese road safety good luck charms that used to come with your order from one of the njs shops.
I’m sure 13 years ago it looked cute. Now it’s just a matted lump of cotton and road skunge.
Seems to have done its job tho...I remember those sprockets, feel like there was a lot more forum products way back when?
Or maybe it just felt like more of an event whenever a list opened.. -

I hope you lot noticed the home made top tube protector?
Section of inner tube and electrical tape ftw.

Which I will have to redo if I cut the bars down.
Fuck. My. Life

Can't wait to see this with a spok! I never had a cool 2008 fixie skidder the first time round, this threads making me want one.
-
• #117
Heh.
I'mm not getting the spok till a week on Wednesday. Hoping to have it rideable soon after that.
The cheap Shimano front wheel, with the blades spokes looks nice with a tyre on it. I'm really happy with it.

I always wanted a 24” front wheel lopro back then. Bought a frame, had it for years and never built it up before selling it to someone who also never built it. /csb
Will 2021 see the return of the golden era of fixie-skidding? -

Yes, I know that's the 3rd time I've posted this video

Sick tram-stroking right there.

Just realised that I own a black and white Rapha data print skin suit. I will have to wear to whenever I ride this bike.
Even to the shops.
@tw, shall I post this in the Fixie skidder thread for you?

Ha. To be honest I assumed you were trolling for inclusion in fixie skidders with the comment about the home made top tube protector.
I've found a lovely stem and shades for your build here:
Beautifully done
