Not surprised, that tubing is only very, very slightly better than literal gas pipe as far as I can tell. Interesting to see them take the time to shape it. I'm guessing they didn't sell many of these.

Speaking of tubing: possible bargain max frameset. Can't tell if it is actually max for the frame but that seat cluster is nice.

When I see the current asking prices on those french bikes in the UK, I feel like a mug having sold the ones I have brought back to London for £175 (on here) and being beaten down on price!!!

I thought the price was a bit steep 🤔

I think the Mercier seller is probably trying to recoup the cost of the paint job. And there will be someone with the cash who wants pristine paint, will probably haggle to £500.

The bike will still sell - when I see the queues of people trying to buy anything out of Evans, you know it is a good time to sell!

A friend was watching a 2012 Genesis bike on eBay, which was £1,199 back then - it sold for £1,100!!!

CAAD5 Track

So the forks I have are proper CAAD 5 track forks! Mine have that odd sweep at the dropout end, wasn't sure what they were.

Just came across this which might be perfect for me. I’m 6,3” so finding a big bike is hard. Also this is my first fixed gear bike. Would this be a rip off or should I go for it? I checked and they can ship for 70gbp

Yeah, Year or two ago though a Columbus max Roberts in blue (can’t remember groupset) sold on eBay for sub £400. Just think it’d be mildly amusing if the same one was for sale for over 2grand

That is great.

I know, true barn(shed) find that was hardly ever used.
Still has the reflectors on the wheels and hardly any of the anodising has been worn off the braking surface.
