The price was actually 330, the rate was a bit different than I remembered. I think the dial is original, it’s a bit faded. I’ll look into getting the second hand cleaned.
The glass is new, but signed. The watchmaker thought everything else is original to the watch. Unserviced, but looked over and works fine.
I’d want to get that second hand redone or replaced. There’s a lot of corrosion which will eventually come off and corrode the dial. It makes me think the dial is refinished but £300 is still good value even if so.
Also if I’m being difficult, the case back seal is in terrible condition yet the movement looks very clean. So perhaps the movement has been recently serviced, or perhaps the movement isn’t original to the watch. It dates from 1963 so it seems correct.
If you like the watch these aren’t deal breakers by the way. Just things to be aware of.
