  • Audi 100 oh the joy of servicing these old beasts, valve clearance adjustment with the engine running :D You only forgot to put a pipe over the oil pipe to redirect it in to the sump once, oil every where :)

  • Your passenger doesn’t look as impressed as you are, ha.

I love this shape mini, good buy

  • Nice buy. Totally agree on changing out those wheels!

  • On that subject, I've just obtained some alloys which I want to fit summer tyres to. Is there a conti gp4000ii equivalent in the car world?

  • Michelin pilot sport 4 or for more performance the pilot 4s

  • It's the look that says "I wish he would stop taking pictures of cars, bikes and motorbikes everywhere we go" 😂

As for the wheels I'm really struggling to find the right choice!
I've settled on 15x8 but I'm trying to find something ET15+ which doesn't leave an awful lot of options for off the shelf and reasonably priced (most 15x8 seem to be ET0 and they justpoke out too much for me)...

What I really want is Work Equip 40s but I don't know if I can bring myself to spend c.£1500 on wheels at the moment so at the risk of invoking the distaste of @NurseHolliday I think I might end up with one of the random fashion wheel brands in the short term.

Sadly even Rota have very few options with the offset I need so the best option seems to be Japan Racing Wheels... haven't found any horror stories about them so I think they might be ok for a roadgoing stopgap.

949 6UL and Enkei RPF01 are both obviously great choices but I just feel like they're a bit spendy to not be exactly what I want when they're not a million miles off the price of the Work wheels.

I have also found this website so I'll be keeping an eye on here to see if something nice comes up in the meantime also...

  • Saw this a while ago... Had a certain charm

  • Oh that is good! I'm a sucker for meaty tyre fitment!

  • I'd leave those wheels.

  • Heh.

    Pretty tho!

    Always the way. 😎

  • No worries . I like the orange blinkers.

If you have a new fuse board lying about then I would grab that off you. But really nothing is needed in terms of parts. Don’t throw anything away though

  • Here’s a few pics from my first event in NZ. Got the car a couple of weeks before lockdown, few bits of prep before the first event since we went to Level1 here. Got round with only one minor mishap with a banking after a spin, didn’t come last. Very tricky conditions.

  • Awesy!

  • There were a couple of looms from stripped cars, but used to have issues with the plastic continental fuses melting but the fuse wire was intact. Also had problems of water ingress a few times so changed to a marine spec fusebox as it was what was available as I was living close to quite a few waterways hence marine spec.

  • I happened to cycle through loads of vintage car porn today. I got chatting to the owner of this 1955 Vangard...

..who explained they were the Waterloo Classics car club, and they were on a meet up and drive as a protest to having to now pay the congestion charge at the weekend, just to have their meet ups which are only once a month during the summer.

These should be exempt as it turned the street into a free art and history exhibition.
    Spotless Impala

    Perfect city runabout

Classic Citroen's and a lovely Lancia. Chocolate brown paint, compete with 50 years worth of stained beige velour, the ultimate 70's combo.

Another hideous 70's colour, amazing little Europa though.

    Another rare and spotless Lancia.

    What the hell is this?

    A cool Cortina

Magnum PI, the weird little thing following it is a Unipower GT.

My favourite I saw out on the road shortly afterwards, but was cursing when I got home as my focus was too slow to catch it properly from the front, but its still worth posting as its a stunning little Alfa, and 70's porn should be blurry anyway :)

  • Have much love for the fulvia saloon and fond memories from owning a 2000.

  • Another hideous 70's colour, amazing little Europa though.

Nice collection. A friend of mine has a Europa with a Vauxhall Red Top in it in the same colour. We call it Mango Beige.

  • Haha. It always amazes me how low it is, if an old person gets into that, they're not going to be able to get out.

  • Most of welding done, floors, bulkhead, bonnet hinge, rear quarter window and other bits and pieces.
Body shell back on the chassis, brakes renewed.
Some bits off for blasting and enamelling on Monday.
I feel as though I can see the end!

  • It is a lotus and not designed for comfort.

  • “What the hell is this?”
It’s a Lomax a 2cv based kit car available in 3 and 4 wheel variants.
