I see England Athletics have their own 5k virtual race coming up. If I'm going well and have any race mojo left maybe I'll have another go the other way round to even things up.
I'm holding on to second V45 at the moment (65 runners declared) but expecting to be knocked down at least one spot by my own club mate. Should be a strong team. Four other club mates already run sub-16 but they're all 35-44 yo whippersnappers. :)

It's just possible that my pacing for this 5k leaves something to be desired.

Back running again and fitness has really taken a hammering over the past month. Oh well it’s all a process. We go again!

Next time I'm smoked by a runner in Greeenwich Park I'll DAS them just in case it's you!

I was just reading about the Ineos 1:59 and the average pace for a 5k was 14:10. Absolutely crazy.

Silly quick. I can't get anywhere close to those splits for even 1km.
Managed a sub-20 last week which is something I've been wrestling with for a while.
Lufguss 5km leaderboard??

I'd love to hear their "innovative" solutions to the conundrum of socially distancing 40,000 runners plus spectators.
Aint gonna happen, is it?

The old suunto movescount website had a nice graph of fastest time over a distance (1k, 1 mile, 5k, etc, etc) for every run over a time period. So you could see the trend of fastest mile, or fastest 10 miles over the last three months say.
It worked as intervals for a distance came to the top (my fastest mile is much faster if im doing mile intervals than in 6 or 10 miles run) so you didnt need to sort through runs, and likewise times for longer distances were only visible at that distance, so easy to see how pace over 10 miles is changing with time.
Movescount is dying and theyve removed this, suunto app doesnt have, runanalze doesnt have it, runkeeper app doesnt have it.
Anyone know of an app or website that does?
As an aside, it seems all the running apps/websites seem much more aimed towards fitness and lifestyle tracking than actual analysis. Maybe its just because I dont want to pay for anything?

https://www.fetcheveryone.com/benchmark.php should do it for you. I think you can bulk import .gpx / .fit etc if you ask nicely, I might be wrong though.
Edit - ignore my 5mi & 10mi benchmarks, they're from a run where the gps went awry at the start, I'm removing them via the handy link on the right.
Edit 2: ditto for all the sub 5km times i think, this is a page I haven't used on that site. Data quality in = information quality out.

Smashrun.com too for nice graphics

Thanks - dont the fetcheveryone has this (they do a leaderboard of best times which is a bit different)
Smashrun has exactly what im after, but only in the pro version. mmm
Edit - actually, I'm assuming this is showing you lots of different times, but maybe its just showing a single pace for each run, which is a bit useless
Anyway - imagine a plot like the below, whereby you can select a distance (from say 800m up to 26.2 miles) and see the best time for that distance for every run

I'm guessing you mean just for your runs rather than everyone's?
The other summary & analysis pages on fetch might do it, else you can always dump everything from there to excel and produce your own graphs?
https://www.fetcheveryone.com/training-summary.php
The guy who runs the site has a suggestions page for improvements so if what you want isn't there then you can ask for it and if it has value he'll build it if he can.

It's all free / optional donations a bit like lfgss.

Just had the best run in ages on Ilkley Moor, that was somewhat soured in the last 30m, as I Klinsmanned into a ditch/nettle bush as the family of 4 that had watched me pelt it down the path towards them for 150m decided that they weren’t going to let me by (the path is 3-4m FWIW), so I tried going on the edge of the path and took an absolute flier into the nettles.
Made all the better by the fact they’d parked up, chucked all their chippy rubbish out their car, walked 20m up the path and turned around and then fucked off. After watching us put their rubbish in the bin. Abject fucking parasites.

Just finished a slight variation on the Goggins Challenge: 5km every 4 hours for 48 hours. Torrential rain for the last day. Some great moments, some bleak moments, will write it up later - for now I need to eat (have lost 3kg in 48 hours LOL) and then sleeeeep...

This is the smashrun home page for me. It has a list of all the fastest times at the bottom, clicking on that will then show the details of that particular run, and also all runs with similar pace. This is the free version

Anyone tried one of those vibrating massage guns that are popping up in all the adverts at the moment? Nowt wrong with my foam roller but I think I’d love to pummel my annoying calf with one.
