  • Pretty much, the hands are short so they run inside the indices.

  • Alsta on the khaki/white Fakerika strap. More 'dressy' but I think I prefer the green/yellow.

  • I’d still much rather buy and sell watches through C24.

This, plus lots of small watch shop are on there that doesn’t have an online presences

  • Any interest here for my 1961 Seamaster cal 552? Monocoque/unishell/frontloading case. 34mm iirc.

I’ve had it on ebay at an inflated price with little or no views, and even at what it’s cost me no interest. Including buyer’s premium it cost around £450, then I paid the £100 for a service by my watchmaker last year. I don’t have the receipt for the service so that’s a pain to prove.

Really I wanted the £550 back, but I’ll consider offers to get this off the shelf.

It was part-paid by my ex, so I just don’t want the reminder any more, otherwise I’d still be wearing it.

  • Amazing bit of kit, a proper sleeper. The Swiss changed the rules so that Seiko couldn't play after the sound thrashing that they were given by the VFAs.

  • One of the few times I haven't wore my black Casio since lockdown started.

  • Interesting how they all have different day date colours going on for the exact same date...!

  • Isn't drons one a mod?

Black has black, all the other colours have white.

  • Tried on a couple of normally not seen SS today
Saw Tudor GMT on bracelet out there in a window too

  • Really slim and really tapered bracelet.
Both very nice , white gold bezel is more eye catching.
Decided I didn’t need the guilt of another watch and didn’t need to blow that amount of cash .... years ago I walked passed a SS sub in the same shop , I’d never do that again .

    True

  • Don't you find these are always really hard to photograph? They end up looking massive, when they aren't.

  • I do! Combination of domed sapphire, matte dial and tiny lugs means it's well beyond my capabilities to take a good photo!

  • It does look super domed

  • Further back helps a bit
