  • Treated myself to Comandante C40 grinder.

Never even thought about spending £199 on hand grinder, but bumped into a video from the factory which was interesting enough to do more research on them.
The more I read about them, the more my need of owning was getting stronger.

Few months back got Wilfa Svart as was tired of hand grinding on Hario and then Porlex and now I’m getting another hand grinder. Logics...

Anyway, I knew that it’s gonna be good, but not that good.

The quality of the whole thing is just indescribable. Feels super nice in hand, suoer fast and super easy to grind even on finest setting.

All particles even and with no coffee dust.

It literally puts smile on my face every time I use it.

Including a shitty image of today’s test how fine it can grind.

Left: Wilfa Svart on finest setting
    Middle: 5 clicks on Comandate
    Right: 1 click on Comandate

The 1 click turns the beans literally in powder.

Only down side is the weight - 636g. Not so friendly for travels, but will always find some space to fit it in no matter what!

Me too! My lockdown man maths made it an easy decision!

Very impressed myself - I'm not going down to espresso grinds but it's no effort to turn - only for single servings so far though. I've only just got an Aeropress as well (why did I wait so long?) so use it mainly for that, but French press is noticeably 'cleaner' with hardly any fine powder.

I might take some ground coffee from it to work if I ever get back to the office, but the idea of taking it on holiday is appealing!
