Haha, so after a long search trying to find some new shoes to fit my wide feet that don't cost a ton, I ordered some Bont Riot+ on a slight discount, coming in at £105. I wore them around the house for a few days to check the size in case I wanted to return them, and they were great.
Then I wore them during turbo sessions and short rides over the next week. Again - feeling great.
Then on Sunday I rode 200km, and during the last 80 km they were very painful. Right foot only, on the outside of my foot, just below my toes. My foot has plenty of room on the inside of the shoe, so if I consciously shifted it over that way it relieved the pain, but would always go back to being in the center of the shoe.
I'm going to try rotating my cleat to see if I can make my foot move inward slightly without having to consciously and constantly move it. Otherwise I'll try to heat mold the soles - it doesn't feel like I need much extra room.
Any other suggestions, or others who have had similar issues?
