@aggi @mashton cheers for the replies chaps... sounds like I need an unmanaged switch as I don't even now what DCHP is, let alone what to do with it.

yep, unmanaged definitely. you just want something to add the number of ports, you're not fussed about traffic routing, throttling etc. unless you have a specific need

Yeah, thats exactly what I need - just more ports. All traffic will be managed by the Eero hopefully and my Virgin router will have WiFi turned off and just be in modem mode. Thanks again!
