SS conversion kits, chain tensioners and chains - talk to me!
All the ss conversion kits look pretty cheap or a bit expensive - is there anything in that? Or should I just buy the On One version for a tenner?
Chain tensioners - was going to buy a DMR one, but only because that’s the only one I knew of. Cheaper/better options?
And chains - should I run 3/32 or is it a better idea to try and run an 1/8 chain and get an 1/8 cog for the back?
This is all for a very beatery beater.
Also, gearing - what is reasonable/a good starting point? How many GI do people aim for? 50-60?
The Planet X conversion is only 2 pieces, I'd go with multiple cassette spacers, to give more options on chainline, or if you want to go dingle-speed. I've used DMR they are fine, cheaper will also be fine, I guess.

Ah, fair point. Will look for something vaguely less budget.
