SS conversion kits, chain tensioners and chains - talk to me!
All the ss conversion kits look pretty cheap or a bit expensive - is there anything in that? Or should I just buy the On One version for a tenner?
Chain tensioners - was going to buy a DMR one, but only because that’s the only one I knew of. Cheaper/better options?
And chains - should I run 3/32 or is it a better idea to try and run an 1/8 chain and get an 1/8 cog for the back?
This is all for a very beatery beater.
Also, gearing - what is reasonable/a good starting point? How many GI do people aim for? 50-60?
I have a WI Eno hub you can have for £60 plus shipping. It will be far better than trying to use a chain tensioner imo.
I don’t think I can spend more on a hub than I did on the frame. Lol. Cheers for the offer tho. This is a tentative dipping my toe into SSCX/ CX in general, so keeping costs down is a must.
