Yep, got a kilo tub of crystalised citric acid for cleaning my machine. One thing to bear in mind is that it can damage chrome so be vigilant in quickly wiping any spills on chromed surfaces.

If any of you guys buy descaling sachets from supermarkets, it's just citric or lactic acid solution in there. You can buy 1kg bags of citric acid for a few quid online.
£2 for 75ml of citric acid solution or £5 for 1kg of powder. Our shower heads, kettle, washing machine, coffee machine and dishwasher have never been cleaner!
