Post-corona times how many people are going to actually use their gardens that much? Almost every place I've rented with a garden, no one really ever used them apart from the odd bbq a couple of times a year.
Almost everywhere in London has a great park within walking distance, so unless you have kids or absolutely love gardening it's an expensive addition over more usable inside space.
I think a lot of this depends on growing up. I always had a garden growing up (up North) so miss not having one. My girlfriend grew up in central London with no garden so isn't that fussed.
