My first pair of Birkenstock’s crippled me. Was going to Barcelona for a birthday weekend and had been given a pair. Spent a day walking around, getting increasingly uncomfortable. No blisters but the arch support strained tendons in my feet. The last mile back to the hotel I had to do barefoot. No blisters at all, just strained soft tissues. Ever since then I have never had any problems and it seems new pairs don’t even need to be broken in.

I ordered a new pair mid February, thinking I would have just enough time to break them in before summer. That turned out a little bit different...

Have many miles in birckenstockcs, it is supremely comfortable - once you break them in.
I am weary of buying a new pair, just because I don't like to get blisters.
