My very old Coospo one from dealxtreme has been long lasting and reliable, not too sure they do an ant+ version only any longer. Found this one on amazon

Chest strap heart rate monitors
I always found the old style Garmin ones were pretty consistent until they died.
Currently not satisfied with the newer style Garmin one (with the sensor that’s attached by poppers. It tends to be quite erratic, I doubt my heart is going at 185bpm before I have started exercising. What do people suggest that doesn’t cost the earth?
