Spinning isn't the same as agitation though is it? Once the washer revs up the item isn't moving around whereas agitation will more often happen during the wash cycle, especially for top loaders - more of an NA thing.
Most washing machines shake during spin cycles. Shaking is another word for agitation. Longer faster spin - more agitation.
Sure but it doesn't compare to the kind of back and forth that an actual agitator subjects clothing to.
