• Have you fiddled with the ohlins? I believe you can set the dampers on the screen

    I haven't, but it feels phenomenal as-is.

    And you can't set the dampers on the screen, the front dampers can be set under the hood by twisting the knobs that are easily accessible:

    The rear dampers though... you need to go under the car to reach the knobs.

    They're not marked with their factory tuned setting, so I've read that it's advisable to do this having applied a fine permanent marker beforehand.

    What I've read online suggests it's only the rears that one might wish to change to give a track feel... but meh, this car is damn fast and feels great and I'm not on a track so I'm not really bothered about changing these.

    TBH, I got the Polestar, it's fast... but I didn't buy this car because of any sporty credentials. I wanted one of the small / medium Volvos with decent storage, that had every safety feature included and with the T8 drivetrain. The finance was heavily in the V60 camp (1.49% APR) compared to the XC40 and XC60 (3-5%) APR, with larger storage than either, and over 20% discount on sticker price via Car Wow... basically, the V60 Polestar was coming in comparable to "R" trim T8s on the others which would have less storage and wouldn't be as comfortable or economical on long distance driving (shorter wheel base, higher position and more boxy vehicle).

    I appreciate the incredible brakes, and delight that there is power throughout the range so I'll always be able to join fast moving traffic or overtake vehicles easily... but I'm too sedate a driver to ever really put this vehicle through it's paces.

    If a V60 Cross Country came in a T8 engine, I would've paid an extra £10k for that. And if I change anything on this car it would be to have wheels that allow for more balloon tyres for more country driving... but then, I know this is likely impossible with those ridiculous calipers on the Polestar, so I'll leave it as-is.
