What's not working so well: spindle length (I can prob go down to 104) and front brake. The frame has a small guide hole for drilling, I used that as a reference for where the small limit screw connects to the frame, but then the brake is too high and doesn't connect with the rim properly.
I can lower the adaptor easily, but then the limit screw will not connect neatly to the guide hole. I'll scratch my head on this for a bit.

I would forget about the clamp on brake and drill the fork. Round blades don’t really brake that well, mind, but you’re not building this for track so why not have a nice neat brake instead of that monstrous thing?

I thought about it, and maybe one day I might. My conclusion is that it'd be wrong to drill the fork as a starting point. First I build it up, then ride it, then see how much I love it, theeeeeeen one day maybe I think about drilling.

Haa!
Fair enough. And you'll always be able to sell the Abomination Brake™ later as they're like strings: every yoyo wants one.

Pretty cool. Skinny tyres + London roads = 💩
Ace boss, what chain you’d go for? Saddle? Concor or kashimax would be nice, seatpost?
