  • I am sure it's been asked before, but I couldn't find an answer...

Why do I see A LOT of empty CO2 canisters by the side of the road/on the road? Sometimes as many as 15-20 in one spot. What the hell is that about? Are there so many cyclists that are di*ks?

  • They're not CO2.
They're Nitrous Oxide, and used as an intoxicant for achieving a brief high.

  • Well, either or... They look the same. Why would somebody discard it on the side of the road though? And it's not occasionally I see it, it's everywhere! First, I thought it's cyclists, but then who needs 5 to pump up one tyre, right?
So... people get high and then put all empty ones in the pocket, then stop the car in the middle of a dual carriage way and just dump them? Seems like a lot of hassle.
