It'll be interesting to see how much I do but the plans would be
- Strip down
- Respray (ideally before but probably after a build)
- Single speed
- New brake levers, cables, brakes and wheels.
5 . Update pedals, cranks, BB with some new (ish) wheels - New seatpost and saddle
- New headset, handlebars, stem and grips. (Bars and stem might be ok for a bit longer)
If anyone wants any of the parts from the bike or has parts to sell hit me up!!!
- Strip down

Go 1x9or10 instead of single speed if you can. Will make it easier for your partner to enjoy it if she’s not yet caught the cycling bug?
Good luck with the build, love a decent step thru build. -

I’d attack the bars and stem with autosol and see how they clean up before replacing ;)

Looks like a Falcon from the era they bought the Harry Quinn name.

I meant give it gears, single chainring, rear derailleur. Same as current setup but with more modern/user friendly indexed gearing.
As I've already got an HQ for myself when this popped up on ebay it was too tempting to day no to and so planning and his and hers bike.
My partner hasnt got the cycling bug so I figure if I get her involved in the respray and build it will slowly get her more involved and interested in bikes.
I am hoping to pick up this weekend and then have a look at what needs doing..Fingers crossed it's a proper Harry Quinn, will find out soon enough
