  • Green and orange for me, but no matte paint.

  • Although it’s a colourway that has been co-opted by a political party, regal purple and bright yellow is a strong combo

  • agreed, that one is a proper cross/poser bike...

  • Am I alone in thinking the current colour scheme is great?

  • Great, but NEW PAINT COLOURS FADEzzzz etc.

  • Number two for me mate

  • I'd go with the first one as well!

  • First one edges it for me too....

  • I got in touch with Marty, and he kindly is going to provide files that I can print vinyl decals from.

He also said that he would recommend using Therml-X in 7/4/7 walk thickness, which is the steel he used after True Temper stopped producing for frame builders. I discussed using Columbus Spirit with Sam. I will go with whatever Sam's preference is, as I guess builders like to use tubes they are familiar with.

  • In line with the consensus (and my wife's opinion), I will probably go with option 1, being Sky blue frame and pink/violet fork. Anyone care to speculate on what the nearest Ral code is? I should probably get in touch with Aurum.

That colour way needs these tubs:

Gotta look lairy rolling in last in the London league.

  • They're probably uninsured and would rather not get found out

  • Hadn't thought of that, but you could well be right.

  • Just give it to Steve and let him match it. He is the pro after all

  • Frame stripped to take to Sam today.

  • I eyeballed the fork - no visible signs of damage. I'm going to ask Sam to take a look as well, but it is obviously my liability and decision over whether to ride it.

  • what's the bag you have on the front?

  • Swift industries Bandito

  • How did it go today? Hope all good news. Looking forward to what happens w this. T

  • All good - Sam is going to replace the head tube, top tube and down tube, probably with Columbus Spirit. He can get round to it in August, but I left it with him to check rear alignment and to pick up work on it whenever he is ready.

  • Ah fantastic. That’s great steel, looks amazing but super light and performs great. Bit of a wait but it’ll be worthwhile. Hopefully the rear checks out for you too. Keep us updated, this will be good 👍 T

  • I guess there’s no overarching Geekhouse thread, so I’ll just stick this here...
