OK then put a statue of a worthy UK modern scout instead, problem solved.

In Charlton, there’s a Wharf, house, pub etc named after a business man who was in the slave trades just to make money to buy arts (Angerstein) and benefit from it.

It's a proper shit pub too. The bulk of the clientele would be proud of Angerstein.

Exactly what I was thinking. One of the few pubs within a two mile radius of home I definitely have no intention of frequenting. (My "local" is the Sun in Sands, Blackheath. Eek! They've probably got a statue of Enoch Powell next to the pool table.)
