That's not bad, 235 GBP... As I said, these were very decent quality bikes back then. But I must confess this one doesn't really makes me wild (most Trek bikes don't, actually). I think there's nicer things to find for that money. But on the other hand, you'll always end up spending more money than these bikes are actually worth (when you want to rebuild it to original spec). A 2010 groupset goes for less money than one from around 1990.
I'm not at all bothered about period correct or anything like that. I'm just looking for a versatile steel bike with no suspension and components I can service myself.
Not sure where the sweet spot is between desirable retro and alu BSO.
