Lol, I remember a colleague blowing up at me when I suggested that gestural control is often poorly implemented and buttons often do the job better.
I think I hit a sore spot as he’d just had a load of very expensive gestural light switches installed.

Agreed. I'd prefer to put the money into sound quality and noise cancelling. But yeah, it seems touch controls are "the thing".
You'll probably get used to it tbh, but I can imagine it's frustrating.
Today I managed to enable aptX streaming on my old MacBook which gives me higher quality streaming to my terribly - named MixCDer MS301 over-ears. They're actually real good since I've added some aftermarket plush ear cushions...

I've heard that sort of thing is an issue with touch control generally. It's just a bit awkward to make the gestures on the earpiece.
