  • Have you seen the new version of the Ark Royal? Let's just say you made a good choice.

  • $400.

Thankfully there are only 800 being made.

  • Ordered some fake Erika straps. Arrived in 5 days. They're good them Chinese fellas.

  • I like how they sent you 3 spring bar tools too

  • They look good. Do you have a link?

  • Wish I had gone for the gold one tbh. Didn't have the cohones.

  • My dad has offered to buy me something for my 40th Birthday (2 years ago LOL).. up to the value of £500.. so I was thinking another watch.. I like divers / subs.. current watch list is..
    Tag heuer Carrera Chrono
    Tag heuer 1000 professional
    Seiko SKX007
    Hamilton Khaki x-wind
    Couple of digital Casios..

I would possibly think about selling the hamilton to add to the pot.. I have had a Steinhart Ocean one in the past. Any suggestions..

  • Steinhart?

  • I had an Ocean one and swapped it out for the Tag 1000.. so maybe not again... They are great watches though..

  • Never heard of these, but they have some great looking models..

  • Junghans?

  • Junghans don't make a dive watch I think.

  • Timefactors playing with some ideas again.

I really like how Eddie Platts has the ability to get at least one thing totally wrong in his initial designs. Those lugs need to go. Usually he listens to feedback and comes back with something better.

I'm not sure I've seen a Seamaster Ranchero homage before. Put some short flush lugs on this and I'm all over it.

  • Yeah, it's awful... I bought that one for my OH on a late night eBay trawl, so cheap, she never wore it tho'... Her sister really likes it so out it goes!!

  • Something from Timefactors maybe, possibly the Precista or possibly Christopher Ward (probably top end of budget but the clearance bit often has some decent stuff). Orient also do some decent divers in that price bracket, including some "interesting" ones:

Although personally for a birthday watch, particularly 40th, I'd be tempted to get something a bit dressier.

  • Tag Formula 1, maybe the Panda version. I'm biased.

  • Its Quartz but its a very very good quartz. Looks awesome in real life. A new latest model one will be over your budget (still worth considering if you can up your budget) but you can buy a whole bunch of older ones second hand for less than £500.

Its a very nice looking, very functional and good value watch. Should make @ejay2.0 happy too.

  • ^ I know that's a render, but what's going on with the crown there? If it's got a nail nick like that, I guess it's not a screw-down?

  • Hello everybody, sorry been a bit elusive but struggled a bit with lockdown in many different ways and so chose to distance myself from the interweb.
I have managed to read nearly 30 books and been out riding my bike ( remember when we used to do that)
    But I'm back baby !!
We are reopening next week , so if anyone wants to take advantage of me financially now's the time , make me an offer on anything !! *
Need to get the ball rolling, we are in a fairly strong position compared to some of our competitors but hey need to pop our cherries again after standing around for so long .

    • but not on Rolex professional , if anything they gonna be even more difficult with the factory having been on shut down.
