  • It will be faster in the smallest cog, thats a fact

  • Will try going up a gear every time I ride it

  • When are you sorting the chainset?

  • As in, getting dura ace or changing to proper chainrings?

  • Why not both?

  • Cranks are 4iiii precision pro compact, which were the only ones in my desired crank length in stock in the UK when I was in the market for a panic buy to play lockdown zwift

  • I thought people would be more upset by the fwe stem tbh

  • get the 7900 cranks, they will work with NDS 105 crank powermeter (unless its both sides) and only take drive side pictures so no1 will notice

  • Ha ha ha, good idea, but my cranks is left and right power

  • Measuring power is ultimately pointless so flog the dodgy PM and get some proper DA cranks on there.

  • or a new bike

  • What about the extra squiggly line on my strava though?

  • If you need that to feel good ¯_(ツ)_/¯

  • Well, the numbers it produces don’t make me feel better

  • Good shout, I have some stem bolts I’ve been looking for a reason to use!

  • Now this sounds like a project I can get behind.

  • It's begging for FC-9000 cranks!

The brass barrel adjuster vs gold chain is proper nice.

I do think I need a gold chain on my Ritchey now.

  • Deffo sort the cranks. 4iiii might swap the sensors onto 9000 arms if you asked nicely.

  • Is that a DA 9000 FD? I have R7000 cranks and I noticed a big improvement in shifting when I changed from an old gen 5800 to a R8000 mech. This may all be marketing bullshit but I believe the ring spacing on the latest Shimano is different. Or it might just be that the latest mech's are infinitely easier to setup.

TLDR - nice bike, get DA 9000 cranks.

  • Haha no it’s a 7900 mech, everything except cranks are 7900. It was shifting up and down like a dream yesterday.

  • It would look killer with 7900 cranks but them things are going up in price over at t'bay.

  • This is how I justified my 9000 cranks. They are an investment piece

  • Lol, the 4iiii cranks are staying. Wheels will be for sale though, I feel anxious riding around on tubs.
