On the off chance, does anyone have any thunder trucks to fit an eight inch board they would sell? Am in E11, but happily collect in London.

Does anyone know if Harrow skatepark is open ?
As Hemels XC is closed but Dunstable skatepark is open.. -
• #1985
isn’t Harrow always open? (like... dawn to dusk). Or, do you mean, has it had pea gravel dumped into the bowls?

[obligatory comment about ‘spot the difference between the pea gravel and the crumbling shotcrete’ here]

It was the pea gravel thing I meant or temporary Herras fencing which has been put round a few local village parks..

not posted on this thread before but used to skate back in the day... I've recently discovered a skatepark near me that looks like great fun so went on ebay and won a load of stuff:
53mm spitfire classics
Orion Aluminium trucks - used to have these and loved them, found some NOS as they werent in any of the online shops
Palace 'PWLWCE' deck - 8"... boards have got fat these days! I found it very hard to find a 7.635 board like I used to skate... weird that 9" seems to be readily available, I remember when all the kids at the park were on 7.5...Also picked up a sale pair of Stefan Janoski's which feel great! looking forward to getting back on the board!

Got a 14 year old who has expressed an interest in wanting to skateboard as friend's have started but is very prone to quiting anything difficult quickly so don't want to buy something that won't be easy to shift on if unwanted. What's a good entry level board?

Ive just started and I'm pretty happy with the full build I got from slam city skates that uses there own brand deck. About £120 all in. No idea about resale on skateboards other than classic stuff is expensive.
I'm 40 not 14 so he/she can probably have mine in a few weeks.

I don’t think you can go wrong with a Powell Mini-Logo complete. I’ve seen deals for £75-85 online.

Anybody building a longboard or cruiser?
I have some Element Travel Well 'Rasta' wheels 70MM/78A wheels that I am not going to use anymore. Except for a chip in one wheel they are in ok shape.
Happy for £10.

If you skated in the UK in the mid-late 90's there's some cracking stuff to reminisce over here. https://www.youtube.com/user/DEATHRIDERSKATEVIDS/videos
