  • Anyone know what the beefier versions of Brenton bolts are called? Pic of a normal Brenton bolt attached. I’ve got a pair of those on my council garage door. The bolts go straight into the concrete frame. They’re a bit crap because you can just lever the bolt bit open with a bar and slide it past the padlock.

I’ve got some monster size versions with 25mm bolts that I got from a locksmith, where the bolt and the body both have welded on loops and are far more secure. They are waaaay too big for my garage door though. Looking for something more secure than a normal Brenton with a 12-13mm bolt, ideally so I can enlarge the existing holes in the concrete frame with a battery drill because the garage isn’t near the house to get power there.

Would normally just go to a locksmith but I can’t currently go to shops because of medical shielding.
