  • I used these successfully to create fork-crown mounts for a Surly rack on my Kepler.
    They were pretty fiddly but super strong and worked perfectly. The only draw back is that it makes mudguards tricky and - when I took them off today - they had scratched the paint quite a lot so use the rubber protectors

    *I realise that this is probably much too late to be useful

  • Is the feature to which you refer that may kill you this? In which case, yeah, they look bad.
