Montbell have Japanese and US/euro models in their range, hence the differing sizing, the Japanese stuff you need to size up in...
Pretty sure if you look up the style on their website it states which sizing they are based on.

Yep, aware of this. The Japanese ones normally have extra pockets - no idea why! - so are a nicer buy imo
The sizing disparity I mean is between different Euro garments, and different years, for the same listed size. One of my euro thermawraps is much tighter fit than the others, like half a size smaller. Hence it’s good to get basic measurements from eBay seller.

Budget: Décathlon
Mid-level: 2nd hand Montane, Rab (but not from last two years), or other 800+ fill models
Top: New or 2nd hand PHD or Montbell (montbell can have weird sizing, measure carefully)
Holy grail: Nunatak
