The ZP80 is not an amplifier. You need to take the RCA lines into an amplifier and from there to speakers.

I had a horrible feeling that might be the case; I guess I'll scroll back and see what cheap amps are recommended. Or swap it with my connect:amp which is currently connected to my regular amp.

I'll grab one of those Nobsound things I guess... or a Lepy.

Obviously do this, you’ve already got all the bits you need.

Anyone got any opinion on the Dali Oberon 7 speakers? My old wharfdales are well past their best after one too many clumsy move. Going to pair them with a Denon PMA800

Complete novice in this area but... does anyone have any recommendations for a bedroom hifi setup? I've thought about picking up a Sonos one, though I understand that my money can probably be spent on something better and also upgradeable with time. Is something like a mini amp with a bluetooth dongle and speakers a viable option?

↑Yeah, probably something along those lines. I think even the retrogrouches (cough) have had to concede that Class D gets you the most bang for your buck.

I picked up a NAD 3020E for €40 a couple of years ago, there are bargains out there in secondhand integrated amplifiers too. Often with included phono stages, which may be a consideration depending on the turntable.

See if Skinny will sell you his wee BT amp, think he's fixed his main amp now so it's probably surplus to requirements.

There's a bargain in secondhand pre-amps (MM/MC phono stage) for anybody who wants to get their soldering iron out.

How about powered or active speakers? Kanto yu4 have Bluetooth and a phono stage for £300
Or something like a tangent bt ampster
https://tangent-audio.com/products/9-electronics/162-tangent-ampster-bt-ii/
With decent bookshelf speakers like q acoustics 3010i or monitor audio 50.
Would also come in at bang on £300 -

Bluetooth
We need to either stop mentioning bluetooth or remove audiophile from the thread title.

Thanks for all the recommendations everyone, doing some research now but leaning towards the Tangent BT2 and some second hand bookshelf speakers.
Whats skinny's username?

I put it in electronics recycling. It was a pile of shit
Hows the tannoy with more power?
-
• #8350
Sounding great actually. Not sure power is the thing, but this amp really opens up the soundstage, super wide but also very detailed. Hypex / Bruno knows his shit.
Got given a sonos zp80 by a mate who no longer needs it. I want to use some old wired speakers I have kicking around but the sonos only has RCA plugs on it. What's the best way to get them working together?
