I have a random piece of rubber doing the job now but it leaves a bit of a gap.

Is Paraffin an effective laxative? Don’t really need to know but for the sake of research if you do the taste test could you make notes .

Is Paraffin an effective laxative?
The word paraffin is used for a multitude of mixtures. Medicinal paraffin is much more highly refined than cheap heater fuel. The former is indeed a laxative, the latter contains all kinds of molecules, so while it will probably be a laxative it will also probably kill you, the timing depending on the quantity consumed and the mix.

I was on the fence about drinking paraffin and white spirit before, but I think I might give it a miss now.

I have an XTR 9 Speed M952 triple chainset with worn out and extinct 112bcd middle ring.
Campag make a 36t 112 bcd ring for 11 speed. Could this work as a replacement?

Could this work as a replacement?
My screen ruler says no, Campag 4-bolt isn't square. Get a Gebhardt Klasic, which you'll probably have to special order.

Looking to buy a combi drill, preferably cordless. Only going to be used for diy jobs around the flat.. What should I buy that’s a balance between budget and good value?

What should I buy
Any questions answered many times before...
Do a thread search for Bosch to get to the places in this thread where people express their various colour prejudices. #tester_approved Bosch green ones are for home gamers, and the tool tarts on here are probably only going to recommend De Walt and Makita over Bosch, both of which are more expensive.

DIY thread will get some suggestions.

Tool tart who is very happy with his Makita DHP482 here. Have a look at the DIY thread, it's a regular discussion.

Just get a Ryobi, cheap and cheerful.

Green Bosch for home use very much seconded here. I also own a posh DeWalt set for professional use and there’s no need to spend that money for domestic duty.

Blue Bosch GSB18 keep an eye on Screwfix for deals should be around £100.
