I want to get an HRM so I can compare efforts outside with those done indoor and tracked via smart trainer wattage. I have a Garmin Edge Touring which doesn't support HRM pairing, and I don't want to buy another computer. So I'm limited to something which will pair with my phone and allow me to upload to Strava. However, since the Strava app doesn't pair with HRMs anymore I think this is only the Wahoo TICKR? Am I right? If so, that's a bummer as their out of stock everywhere (shops waiting for the new versions, I guess).

I can still wiggle them around with everything on and torqued up correctly

You could likely use the Wahoo app but with something like the Garmin HRM Dual, as the requirement is bluetooth.

My understanding is that it's an open ecosystem thing, I'd check but I only have a Tickr, which wouldn't prove anything.

Googling makes me think you're right, but it's not made super obvious.

Annoying because I would buy a tickr if they were available.

I have a cheap HRM somewhere in a box. If I can find it you are welcome to borrow it and test things.

Ah, thanks for the offer but I've already put the order in! Pretty inexpensive and reviews are decent enough so hopefully no risk.

Thank you to @mdcc_tester I did this and am now waiting on a shifter and a clamp for the brake arm. It's all going to plan.

For completeness, used both spacers but that put the chain line out of whack. Put them both on the nds and it seems to be working nicely...

I have two identical plastic containers in my shed, both with their labels missing. One has white spirit in it and one has paraffin. How do I tell which is which?

The smell difference is pretty obvious. The volatility difference is too, so if you don't know what you're smelling tip a few drops of each on a bit of concrete floor exposed to sunlight and you'll see the white spirit disappear very quickly.

Not necessarily the first thing to try; if you pick the paraffin first and correctly identify it, you don't have to try the white spirit and you'll come to no great harm. Get it in the wrong order though...
